Summary:

Because of the need for translation and interpretation of special education terminology for Hmong families, the Minnesota Division of Special Education worked with a group of Hmong experts to create a dictionary of special education terminology. This publication provides the Hmong language equivalent to English terms used commonly on Individualized Education Programs, words that are most often used on assessment reports, words that are used in due process, words that describe the position of school staff, words that describe disabilities, and other words relating to special education.
